September 2016, we opened East Main Vision Clinic’s dedicated Dry Eye Center. After years of research and dedication to optometry, I knew it was time to step even further into treating patient symptoms. The long-lasting effects of dry eye, include burning, stinging, watering, and decreased vision, I wanted to be part of the solution.

Over the last few years, we have grown the Dry Eye Center and helped so many patients manage their dry eye and become symptom free! I continue to look for better solutions with results-based therapies, so, I am excited to announce our purchase of the Lumenis Optilight. We are now able to use this highly specialized equipment to do IPL.

IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light therapy; it is the absolute, number one way to treat dry eye and by far our largest tool in the toolbox. We are so excited to be able to offer it to our patients. This technology has been around since the 1990’s and used primarily for Rosacea, but 22 years ago a dermatologist was using it to treat his patients and observed that their dry eye was also going away. Over the last two decades it has been perfected the results are amazing!

Lumenis created the first and only FDA approved IPL instrument in the world, it was introduced in early 2021 and it has been changing the dry eye world since, and effectively treating all forms of dry eye.

If you are interested in having the highest-level dry eye treatment, please give us a call. We have built our clinic on taking a deep dive to the root of dry eye disease and our new IPL therapy will offer the very best treatment alongside clinical expertise and excellent care.

Eyecare and clinical treatment is ever evolving, and multifaceted, but one thing that never changes is how much we care about every single person who walks through our doors.

Let me help you find long lasting symptom relief from your Dry Eye Disease.
